Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron Announced As A Trilogy, Along With A New Marvel Comic Series, Star Wars: TIE Fighter

It’s been a debate since 1977, which are cooler Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots? X-Wings VS TIE Fighters. Classic Star Wars. (That’s not a bad idea for a poll later) And that debate will continue this April when you’ll meet the brave and fearless pilots of Shadow Wing and Alphabet Squadron in Star Wars: TIE Fighter, a new Marvel miniseries set in the time of Alexander Freed’s forthcoming novel Star WarsAlphabet Squadron, which isn’t just going to be one novel, but a brand new trilogy of novels.

This exciting crossover series comes from both Del Rey and Marvel comics and will be set between Battle of Endor, as seen in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and the Battle of Jakku. The comic and novel crossover will follow the brutal fallout during the fall of the Empire from both sides of the war.

For the Empire, for the Emperor:

For the Rebellion, for the New Republic

The TIE Fighter comic series will be written by Jody Houser, who penned both the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story comic adaptation and Marvel’s Star Wars: Thrawn series, with art by Rogê Antônio and other acclaimed artists, including cover art created by the team behind the recent Darth Vader comic series, Giuseppe Camuncoli and Elia Bonetti.

Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron will be coming to stores this summer. While Star Wars: TIE Fighter hasn’t been given a date as of yet, it’ll most likely be sometimes this year.
