These are the comics you are looking for, Original Trilogy Fans. Starting in April, the Age of the Rebellion begins.

Marvel’s Star Wars: Age of Rebellion, a series of special one-shots written by Greg Pak,(known for his work on books published by Marvel Comics, including X-Treme X-Men and several titles featuring the Hulk along with writing for Teen Titans for DC) about  Rebel Princesses, Jedi Masters, Orphan Farmboys, and more legendary heroes and villains from the time of the Galactic Civil War. While the series doesn’t launch until April, has released a first sneak peak at the upcoming line:

Star Wars: Age of Rebellion – Princess Leia #1, with art by Chris Sprouse (Penciller for Splinter of the Mind’s Eye, for Dark Horse Comics back in 1995 and 1996), arrives April 3rd; set soon after the events of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, the story tells of how Leia prepares for the rescue of Han Solo by taking on the identity of bounty hunter Boushh, and must earn the trust of of another feared and famous bounty hunter, Bossk.

Star Wars: Age of Rebellion – Grand Moff Tarkin #1, illustrated by Marc Laming (Known for illustrating the five-part Planet Hulk miniseries that formed part of the 2015 Marvel Comics storyline “Secret Wars“) and will be hitting shelves on April 10th. The comic will explore how the Imperial mastermind ensures that the Death Star lives up to its name.

Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Special #1 lands April 10th, and will feature three stories starring characters both iconic and lesser known: writer Si Spurrier (Co-writer for Star Wars: Doctor Aphra from Marvel Comics with Kieron Gillen in November 2017 on issues #14-19, before taking over with issue #20 in May 2018) and artist Caspar Wijngaard (Co-creator of Angelic and LIMBO for Image Comics) tell a tale of droid bounty hunter IG-88, who will be appearing again later this year in Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian.

A Yoda story about the Jedi Master’s exile while on Dagobah comes courtesy of writer Marc Guggenheim (Civil WarWolverine, X-Men Gold Vol. 1: Back To The Basics and Kraven’s First Hunt) along with artist Andrea Broccardo (who illustrated Kanan 12: First Blood, Epilogue: The Ties That BindDoctor Aphra 7: The Screaming Citadel, Part III, Doctor Aphra 8: The Screaming Citadel, Part V, Poe Dameron Annual 2 and Star Wars 56: The Escape, Part I);

The comic will also feature a short story on both Biggs Darklighter and Jek Porkins by writer/artist Jon Adams.

Age of Rebellion is the second of three series exploring different eras of Star Wars (the prequel-centric Age of Republic is in stores now, and sequel trilogy-focused Age of Resistance will follow later this year), Age of Rebellion will continue with even more major issues: Han Solo #1, Boba Fett #1, Lando Calrissian #1, and Jabba the Hutt #1 arrive in May, and Luke Skywalker #1 and Darth Vader #1 arriving a month later in June.
