In two weeks time on October 7th, the new Animated Series from LucasFilm “Star Wars: Resistance” will be debuting on the Disney Channel (10pm for some reason) with the opening two part Episode: “The Recruit”. Well thanks to TV Wunschliste the next three episodes of Star Wars: Resistance have been revealed, along with they’re air dates. The Episodes are:
- The Triple Dark – Airing October 14th
- Fuel for the Fire – Airing October 21st
- The High Tower – Airing October 28th
So far that’s it, only October is known at this time. Will I be watching it? Aye, I’ll be giving it a shot. I usually give a series the “Three Episode Rule”, three episodes to win me over. I’ve done that with Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Gravity Falls, Community, Gotham, Stranger Things, The Clone Wars, DareDevil, Rebels and Doctor Who (when there’s a new Doctor) But it usually works. Though if I have time, I could do some reviews on Star Wars: Resistance.
Resistance compared to The Clone Wars and Rebels, does look more for children, made for children. And it’s not the first time a Star Wars animated series are made only (possibly) for children. As you have the old Droids and Ewok animated series dating back to the 80’s. So will be baring that in mind.
The Star Wars Resistance voice cast includes Christopher Sean (Days of Our Lives), Suzie McGrath (East Enders), Scott Lawrence (Legion), Myrna Velasco (Elena of Avalor), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), Donald Faison(Scrubs), Bobby Moynihan (DuckTales), Jim Rash (Community) and Rachel Butera (Tammy’s Tiny Tea Time). The animated series will also have Oscar Issac and Gwendoline Christie joining the cast, reprising their roles of Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma.
