Take a Look at the Impressive Lego: ‘Betrayal on Cloud City’ Set

Impressive, most impressive.

Recreate the key scenes from Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back from Lando’s betrayal of Han to the Carbon Freezing Chamber, Boba Fett’s Escape to the climatic duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in Lego with Lego’s latest addition:  “Betrayal on Cloud City”.

The set will be hitting stores and online shops on October 1st, where Fans and Lego enthusiasts can build and recreate scenes from Cloud City for $349.99 (£316.95). The massive set has 2,812 pieces, and includes 18 minifigures. Including Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, Boba Fett, Lobot, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, the Droids along with Stormtroopers and Bespin Security.

The set comes in four sections, each based on key scenes from the films.

  • Section 1: The Landing Platform with Boba Fett’s ship Slave 1.
  • Section 2: The famous Dining Room with space for five minifigures (they did have an awkward dinner), along with a garbage-processing room with an incinerator, and a promenade.
  • Section 3: The Carbon Freezing Chamber and walkway where you can recreate cinema’s greatest twist, “No, I am your father”.
  • Section 4: The Interrogation Chamber, along with a prison cell, hanger with a secret trapdoor, and room for a couple of vehicles.

For a closer look at some of the sections featured:

“Luke, you do not yet realise your importance. You have only begun to discover your power. Join me, and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy.”

– Darth Vader

“I love you.” “I know”

– Leia & Han

“We would be honoured if you would join us.”

– Darth Vader

“I’ve just made a deal that’ll keep the Empire out of here forever.”

– Lando Calrissian

With Christmas now being only four months away (it’ll be here sooner than you know it) this could make an excellent gift for someone (or yourself). “Betrayal on Cloud City will be available in stores and online from October 1st.
